First Visit

We typically schedule your first appointment to introduce you to the doctor and staff and to conduct an initial orthodontic examination.

• Step 1:

  Please present the following when arriving to our office:
  • Completed New Patient Form (see Forms/Downloads tab)
  • Dental Insurance information (if applicable)
  • Current Panorex/Full Mouth x-ray (if available)

• Step 2: We ask that you brush your teeth at our tooth brushing area. (Tooth brushes and mouth wash are provided)
• Step 3: You will meet with our Treatment Coordinator and Dr. Tilghman in our private consultation room to discuss your orthodontic concerns.
• Step 4: We will take the necessary orthodontic records for evaluation.
• Step 5: A thorough orthodontic examination will be conducted, after which we will present our findings.
• Step 6: We will discuss fees for service, payment options, including dental benefits if applicable.
• Step 7: We will provide you with a tour of our office.
• Step 8 : We will schedule an appointment to initiate treatment.
